How to get your best sleep.
It’s no secret that everyone loves to achieve their beauty sleep. And who wouldn’t, with the vital role it plays in our health and well-being?
Not only does it improve our skin’s appearance, but getting enough sleep improves our mental health, our physical ability, and overall quality of life. It’s also so important for a number of brain functions, and a persistent lack of z’s can potentially contribute to some nasty side effects later down the track.
Maintaining our ‘sleep hygiene’ refers to the positive choices we make before bed to ensure restorative sleep. If you’re having problems achieving a good night’s rest, it may be caused by bad habits reinforced over the years.
But not to worry, your sleep quality can be improved!
Just a few simple changes can make all the difference in achieving a good night’s rest.
What are the signs of poor sleep hygiene?
If you find yourself taking a long time to get to sleep, waking frequently, or daytime sleepiness, you may have poor sleep hygiene.
Dull skin? Eye bags? Uneven skin tone? These effects tend to creep up on you when you’re receiving less sleep than your body needs to restore and repair.
